...same as for air bags, ABS, etc - if people didn't drive around in big,
obnoxious SUV's & the like with feelings of omnipotence, there would be less
need for equipment to protect people from their own stupidity. If everyone
drove around in simpler, smaller vehicles (or LBC's) and paid more attention
to what they were doing than who they were trying to cel-phone, the roads
wouldn't have to resemble the bump-car ride at the fair.
