As mentioned in earlier post, I $pent $ome time at Triumphs Only
today... (BTW, no interest, yada...)
Lucky to get out of there with only an O/D unit and a few other bits...
It's TR heaven & hell, all in one... lotsa parts cars, a number of
rebuildables (I only wanted the 1800 Roadster *a major project*, a red
GT6+ that's doing a balancing act on 3 tireless rims and one, well maybe
two of the TR2 's or 3's). All those cars stuck here and there, nearly
all with parts stripped, most with floor pans full of rain water. A TR6
being obsessively retso'd frame up, with chromed front suspension parts!
Another that had obviously been painted with gold spray can paint. Many
used parts, some new, some NOS. (gee, I wonder what this is?!) Roll
bars... a stack of used "street" roll bars for most models (wasn't
someone looking for one?). Most of the old frame and undercarriage parts
are in pretty good shape, protected from El Nino & La Nina by a thick
layer of "LBC Undercoating". I could spend hours in that place, not to
mention way too much money. I guess that's a pretty weird way to spend
part of your afternoon! Only other Triumph Phanatics could relate.
