Too bad it became parts.  It could have had a successful career in a circus
freak show!  Seriously, the more I tried to picture it, the more I think the
Karmann rear clip would horribly clash with the traditional TR4/250 front
clip.  Its just plaids and stripes, man. I love both the TR250 AND the TR6
and I think they each stand as beautiful cars exactly as their designers
intended.  But it was an interesting engineering topic and for that reason

        Actually, Bud, it's called the TR650. One appeared in Pittsburgh a
couple of years
        ago. A picture was published in our club newsletter and later picked
up by several
        other club newsletters around the country. It also sported Cadillac
rear overriders.
        Mercifully it became parts shortly after the picture was taken.
