One pointer: heat the >bearing for 20 minutes directly on a 75 watt light bulb. It will be quite >hot, >so use a glove to handle it. Then drop it onto the sleeve and presto, a >perfect >fit. You might try putting the sleeve in the freezer over night, then try the light bulb trick. According to my brother, ship's engineer, they put the bearing in a sealed plastic bag in boiling water, the sleeve in the freezer overnight, then the bearing pops in with no trouble.
