Tony; First check to make sure that the original strap is grounding to unpainted surfaces and that the end pieces are tight to the ground strap. I had a similar problem once; the groung strap looked fine, but when I pulled on the strap, it came out of the end piece. A little resoldering and everything was fine. The TR 6 grounds the engine to the body and connects to the battery in the same strap. I am certain that you could make this work on your car if it were necessary.You might have to make a hole in the firewall. Good luck. Dave in Oregon |
