Dear Triumphants,

After (perhaps too aggressively:) pulling out from a red light stop, I
got a loud "clunk" in the rear end that seemed to shake the car. When
accelerating, it gives a steady LOUD "clunk clunk.....clunk clunk....."
which is louder under load. It almost completely disappears when
coasting in nuetral. When parked with engine off I got under the back
and pushed up and felt it kindo of "stick" halfway in upward and
downward travel. The motion seemed to move the wheel off-center and the
axle seemed to move unnaturally inside the rubber grommet.
Anyone ever experience this? What did I crack? I'm thinking the sudden
squat during takeoff exaggerated the camber of the wheels and somehow
pulled the axle off/out near the diff....but why would it coast without
getting the clunking?
I anticipate a greasy weekend :)
Thanx in advance,
Will
