Ken, the way to adjust the oil pressure relief valve is: 1st) get the car up
to operating temp, then 2nd) while watching the oil pressure gauge slowly
rev the engine to 2000rpm. You should see the oil pressure rise steadily to
75 psi. At 2000 rpm you should see it fall to 70psi.
If it rises and then falls before 75psi or after 75psi you need to adjust the
valve. Loosen the locknut and adjust the screw clockwise to increase the
opening pressure and CC to reduce it.
Also check the oil filter fittings for proper sealing. Check the filter
gasket (rubber sealing ring) at the engine block and the gasket at the closed
end of the metal container (there should be a small rubber gasket where the
bolt head sits). Cheers.
