Kjlle, can't give you a definitive answer. However the latest Triumph World
magazine says that 30% of the TR4A's in the U.S. and Canada were non-IRS. I
don't know right now what the number of TR4A's imported to North America was.
But the 30% figure sounds logical based on my knowledge of the marque.
BTW - TR4A's with IRS had CTC 50xxx as the comm # and the non-IRS had CT 5xxxx
onwards as the comm#. The cars were built in sequence so a comm# with CT
might be between two CTC's or vice verse. The chassis were identical and were
different from the earlier TR4 chassis. The change of chassis (from the TR4)
had been done to allow for IRS. Cheers.
