Scott, just a couple of quick ideas... Try to tap (not pound) the wheel
cylinder back and forth in it's slot in the backplate. This may free
the cylinder to allow the shoes to retract. Second try to back off the
adjustment screw on the bottom of the back plate to attemp to do the
same thing.
I have removed one stuck using both methods above, along with a 4 lb
hammer...
