Hi all!
I'm posting this for a friend, who does wrk on my TR sometimes. He rebuilds
them for a living, and as he's moving his shop, he has many rack shelves of old
TR, MG and AH parts that he'd like to get rid of. A few are new; the rest are
in various condition from okay to rusted solid. :-) He's got stuff like
engine blocks (short and w/top end), alternators, fenders, bumpers, dashboards,
convertible top hardware, windows, etc. etc. Basically he's looking for folks
who are interested to take a pcikup truck or their partgetter car down to his
shop and poke about to see if there's anything they want/need. I don't know
how he's going to price them, but I suspect quite low since he doesn't want to
move them. He doesn't have internet access; he told me to say that if you
think you're interested, or want to check if he's got some stuff, by all means
give him a call at (781)740-8821. His name is Adam Dean Scott; his business is
Scott's Classic Roadsters. His old shop (where most of the parts are) is in the
Hingham, MA shipyard. If any of you work in Boston, the T commuter boat to
Hingham drops you off basically 100yds from his shop and takes 35minutes; it'd
be a fun long lunch to poke about.
Anyhow, I'll stop. I get nothing for this financially. Adam is a tad
disorganized, but has always been scrupulously fair with me and my meager
finances- I'm a satisfied customer, is all.
And now, a plea of my own...does anyone out there, preferably in SoCal but not
req., have a working TR6 brake servo they'd be willing to part with? Mine
blew a seal, and I'd like to have one on the car while I'm rebuilding it,
'cause I know myuself and it might take a couple of months. :-) Let me know
at zimerman@mit.edu. Thanks!
