Hey Paul,

 Yes I just did this last week!  on the end of the stud with no nuts place two 
nuts together.  Tighten them against eachother, then hold a wrench on the 
bottom one and unscrew the rusted nut on the other side.  If this isn't clear 
please ask any questions you have.
