Sumner,
You can NOT mix DOT 3 or DOT 4 fluid with an LMA (Low Moisture Absorbing)
brake fluid. You can NOT use DOT3 brake fluid in your system at all. The
alcohol tends to destroy the natural rubber rather rapidly, as in overnight.
You can use DOT4 silicone fluid if you first clean the entire system of the
Girling fluid. It is easier and cheaper just to stay with Girling or
Castrol LMA brake fluid.
