I just received my production certificate from British Motor Industry
Heritage Trust. For those curious about what a late TR6 version looks
like, I put a copy of it at
http://www.cyberbia.com/peterz/tr6/bmiht.html.
Oddly, the tires indicated are possibly inaccurate. The record indicates
Goodyear redband tires. I bought the car in 1982 with 39,000 miles and
Michelin X redlines. Still have the spare. These tires were apparently
the original tires. Perhaps a dealer mod? Or a BMIHT slip up?
Everything else matches what is on my car. Too bad they don't give the
Gearbox, O/D and diff numbers as well as these are major components. I
suspect those records do actually exist but perhaps they are harder to
track down.
BTW, the certificate cost $40 US and was delivered in 3-1/2 week
