I had a similar problem in my TR4. It was caused by a worn operating valve (Part 31 on the diagram on page 28 of the Moss TR2 - TR4A parts cataloge, Oct 6 1997). The pin had grooves worn into the surface of the valve pin allowing the oil to pass through the valve causing the OD to operate. The cure was to replace the valve pin (part # 866-060, $40.95 in the current Moss catalog). John Hamer |
