There's a spray paint that I've seen that might do it.  (might also melt
the plastic).  I've never tried it as it's always sold out when I have the
10 bucks to spare.  However, if the cap color truly does reflect content
color, it'd be a pretty fair copy of chrome.

I will eventually need to redo the gucky plastic trim on the Chevette.
Will let list know if it works...
