Stash it somewhere, and then go buy a Craftsman.  Then when you have the
urge to whack something whackable (stuck mufflers come to mind), run and
grab the mangly one...

The ball-joint splitter is regarded as one of the 10 best tools of all
time, under the header "bonking stick".  You should stick it in a case
with a Big Screwdriver (not for use on screws) and the BFH.

Or lend it to someone you hate.
