Ed and Brad, 
I would bet that one of the first things that will happen after the car
is running, is a trip to the front-end shop for alignment.  If so, it
really negates the need for any special front end adjustments.  They
will loosen everything up when the add shims anyhow.

BTW, I'm curious if that thing about the rear spring applies to both
early and later (Swing-spring) as well.
