Hi All. Terrick here...again.

The latest and most probable buzz is that fuel is forced out the breather
into the air cleaner, promptly rendering the mixture on the verge of rich
misfire. It's running rich now anyway. Further, under heavy braking the
car will also stumble, and occasion, die. Again, likely rich mixture.

The suggestion made (150cd's) was 1/4 inch copper tubing to extend the
vents to outside the filter - ie dump the fuel n the hot header (just
kidding, no sarcasm inferred) - I'd rather solve the problem for good.

QUESTION:

Does anyone know what attitude the float bottom should take relative to the
carb body? Ihave taken many apart and while universaly they measure 3/4
inch near the pivot, sometimes at the other end the number is 1/4 inch or
so, sometimes it is also 3/4 inch.

Is there anybody out there that can shed some light on this? Please
reply directly, summary to follow.
