My 2 cents,
When I restored my TR4 I ran longer hoses from the drain scuttle out through
the wire harness accesses (on both sides) in the firewall. Kind of a tight
fit but, it works without drilling new holes. There is also drain holes
along the side rails where the hood overlaps the side of the fenders (on
TR4s). I siliconed those closed to try and minimize the amount of water
getting in the boxed area of the outer and inner fender.
