Thats all it is.
Anyone with a little $$$ can go out and purchase a modern sports car. They
can go to any garage to get it worked on. They don't need to become
mechanics or experts in parts for their car. They don't need to go through
any rights of passage. They don't need to do anything but DRIVE.
Personally I like the idea. When our LBCs were new, it was that way for
them too. I think the same people who purchase new roadsters are the same
people who would have purchased new LBCs. If it were really hot outside
and I had an air conditioner, I would probably have the top up too.
Personally I really like the looks of the Miata. There are around in very
high numbers. I tend to think of the Miata as the MGB done right. I also
like the loks of the new BMW Z3. It vaugly reminds me of an updated big
Healey with a BMW grill.
Since BMW now owns the rights to famous LBC names such as MG and Triumph,
you might just see new MGs outside the UK and new Triumphs.
How will people deal with a new Triumph made by BMW?????
Personally, I think everone should hop in their cars put on a big grin and
just drive.
