Hello! I am new to the mailing list. I recently purchased CC 829910, a
1972 TR6 in pimento red with black interior.
For the last to months, I've preparing the body for a fresh coat of paint.
I've carefully matched code 72 in basecoat/clearcoat for superior luster
and durability.
The previous owner is a chassis specialist building Mini-Legend race cars.
In the 80's he specialised in TR6 frames. He built about 2 dozens frames, I
think they are of a little thicker gage. Consequently, CC 829910 has a
superb new frame and new wings all around (from what I heard, the PO traded
a frame for a set of wings from Moss).
Enough with the background, I have a couple questions: the rubber body
mounts (bushings) are worn out. How big a job is their replacement? does
the body have to be lifted?
I have a Goodyear 800 in great shape (it was a spare) and an original
Goodyear redline in great shape (it was a spare too), I may sell them and
would like to know what I can get for them. Thanks!
