Overdrive was NEVER a standard feature in the TR6 in the US. Categorically
and I have asked Mike Cook this before. Some dealer did offer it for "no
charge" but dealer marked up the last cars so fiercely you had no clue what
you were and were not paying for. As an original owner of an early 74 I can
attest...never a "standard" feature...always an option..but see other thread
on Piggot's book. Just one of many errors ..... but always pleasant to see a
book with lots of pretty TR pictures no matter how "non-original"...Cheers!
