mufflers on a '65 spitfire

Hello all.  My spitfire is nearly on the road.  I put a muffler on it 
last weekend and i'm wondering if i'll pass inspection with it.  its a 
motorcycle muffler.  It does keep it quiet (unbelievably so) but it hangs 
kinda low.  anyone know what passes NJ state inspection and what doesnt?
