I am coming in on this a little late, but let me see if I catch what is
going on. The intake and carbs won't fit from a TR6 into a 4a. The only
way this will work is if the head being used for the conversion is off of
an early 6, i.e. 1969 or 70, or a 250 with the short intake manifold. They
switched the intake manifold on the later 6's since there was room to
spare.
