Thanks to all that responded to my email about the straps on my Spitfire. I
had the shop replace the straps. Wow, what an improvement, the car is a lot
tighter. The car has better response off the line. When I bought the car
(last November) it had a bad vibration when you let off the throttle at 45+
mph, well I guess I found out what it was when the straps blew out. I am still
of the opinion for my car, its better on the back roads with speeds under 50
mph. It still has some vibration noise at above 55 mph or so. I will be
fixing the parking brake next week (thanks to the blown out straps) and then
off to painting the car in May. Thanks again for all the info on this list, I
have been on here for only a few weeks.
P.S. Can anyone tell me any info about my car serial number? its FK40363U
