Thanks to all who responded to my inquiry regarding practicality of a
small syphon-type sandblasting unit.  To summarize the common thread
from most responses...

just be sure your compressor has a motor rated equal to that of the
bilge pump on the Titanic, and have an air tank comparable in size to
the Hindenberg.  You should then have enough cfm to make the job
bearable! Alternate recommendation: farm out ALL of your sandblasting!
