Why doesn't my TR6 engine fit into the engine bay of my TR4? The air
cleaner attached to the
Zenith-Stromberg 175's is hitting the right wheel arch and the part of the
bulkhead on the passenger
side where the passenger's feet go.

If I mount the engine higher up, it may just clear everything, but then the
drive shaft would not be
horizontal. This might be important

Can anyone out there offer some assistance? Other than the obvious one of
trading my 1974 TR6
engine and transmission for a TR4 engine and transmission, because I had
that idea already
(once a day for sixth months). I blame this predicament on the dpo who
ripped out the correct engine
and attempted to install a Chevy V-8 283 with a powerglide automatic
transmission. His project died,
but not because he didn't make the engine fit first.
