Fraid they can't be re-furbished if they are bad, they're trash and need to
be replaced. The splines should be a distinct upside down 'V' with a small
radius at the top and in the valleys. If you have a sharp edge with one
side more perpendicular than the other than your splines are bad - and MUST
be replaced. Don't mess around here, although rather expensive the
alternative is not worth contemplating. If in doubt, replace! better to be
safe than sorry or worse - Remember, when replacing the wheel apply a
non-seize compound to all the splines and both mating 'cones' to prevent any
chance of them rusting together (or you'll have a real time separating them)-
