I had the same problem.  I would jack up one side of the car and hypoid
oil would pour out of the other side of the diffy.  The seals are not
difficult to replace.  I strongly advise using the Bentley manual as a
guide.  If you have already pulled the half shafts, the job is half done.
While you have the diff out, examine the mounts carefully; they are prone
to breakage.  Since the unit has no drain plug, you might also use the
opportunity to drain it via the fill hole (TRF puts a drain hole/plug in
their rebuilt units).  I refilled mine with Red Line synthetic.  Let me
know how it works out.
