I'm  also sorry to hear about your bad experiences with one of the
major TR parts vendors.  You might have tried asking someone on the list for
some measurements though.  The people on the tech line probably don't have
the tool's to measure parts and unless they have the factory drawings
available, you won't really get an accurate answer.

I had a similar experience with a question about the seal between the
windscreen and the roof on my GT6+.  At the time I didn't have a factory
shop manual, and when I asked which way the seal went the reply I got was
"well it should be obvious".  Now I thought if it was obvious, then I
wouldn't be calling now would I?

But I Agree with Ken.
