Thanks Paul,

I was confused on the terms, I think of the wing as the wing window. Sorry
about that. Thanks for the information on the fur flex, wonder if John Kipping
would ship to the US. If you have an address I could drop him a line. I
haven't messed with the over drive, I'm rookie enough just to fix up what is
broken and not to enhance yet. I've had the car for 25 years and am just happy
to have it back on the road. I will keep adding pieces as we go along. I have
yet to put the bellhousing tunnel cover in permanently, I keep thinking I'll
need to get in there. Also have not worked much on the inside, but it's coming
along.

Jane,
A bit of confusion over terms I think! wings are the big metal things
welded on the corners around the wheels (fenders?) a British term!

I didn't need to replace the *rear quarterlight* seals, you can buy
'FurFlex' by the metre (sorry 1.whatever yard) from John Kipping here
in the UK. The genuine article has proper corners so each is 'tailor
made' for the window/door it is sealing, whereas the new stuff is
just on a roll, so it doesn't fit he corners too well unless you
mitre the joint.

Mine is a '71 (Mk3) UK spec model (hence the rust!) originally
without overdrive, but now with a J-type unit.

If your doing a J-type, remember to 'adjust' the chassis to allow the
speedo angle drive to fit properly, I didn't and had to ct a piece
out of my lovely shiny white chassis (boo hoo!)
And Yes, you WILL always be working on it!

Paul
