RE:epoxy on brake failure switch.
I tried just this fix on my TR7 master cylinder, and met with catastrophic
results. After a short period of time, the brake fluid disolved the epoxy,
and ruined the paintwork on the firewall below the master cylinder (two
weeks prep work, and lots of sweat and cussing). The best option (and one
that is still in use today) would be to get a short bolt that matches the
threads of the failure switch, and install it JUST tight enough to prevent
leaking. BTW, standard brake fluid is the worlds best paint remover...
About the clutch thing, check the travel on the clutch pedal, it may just be
dragging on the throw-out bearing...
