TR4 Fuel Pump How To? Chapter Two

I am embarrassed.
Though I had this problem licked.
My car conked out on me again.  This time with my
2 nephews and a niece (none older than 11) out with
me.  We had fun, but....
Fuel is getting to the filter just before the carbs.  Both bowls were dry.
 Fuel coming out of the filter comes out in a
dribbling fitsand starts fashion.  Should it be coming
out as a stream? Thanks in advance for any help!!!!
