The location of your right X is where the windscreen washer swith is
supposed to go.

If anyone has pictures of insturment panels from factory race/rally cars it
would be interesting to see where the factory placed the fog/ driving lamp
switsh(es).  The instrument panel to the outside of the steering wheel was
already crowded with OD switch, vacume meter, and oil temprature guage.
