I agree. It's quite possible that the other classic signs of a blown
head gasket - oil globules in the coolant, coolant being burned out
the exhaust, overheating - could be absent if the head gasket leak
doesn't involve the cooling jacket or oil journals. And it doesn't
seem likely that two *adjacent* cylinders could both have such similar
ring wear, and such different wear from the other cylinders.
Typically, either a bad ring will manifest in a low compression
reading in one cylinder due to some local pathology, or all the
cylinders will show similar low compression readings.
But then, LBC Beasties have a way of defying logic... :-)
