Definately NOT an authoritative answer but:
1) Do complete tuneup.
a: Points, Plugs, condensor
b: Adjust timing
c: Adjust valve clearances
d: Tune carb's - Uniflow (or by ear if your good)
e: Ck oil level in dampers
f: Adjust Idle
g: Ck mixture (w/ Colortune) adj if carb's are adjustable models.
After this - let us know how idle, acceleration etc does - THEN another
compression test. Unless valves are out of adjustment or burned, I wouldn't
think that the low compression in number 2&3 would be helped by a
reconditioned head, sounds more like piston rings to me. (?)
