Why not the Chevrolet Tahoe or Blazer?  You can get them with 2 wheel drive
and the Vortec V8.  I haven't checked prices lately but I am sure that they
would be close in price.  Also higher GVW and remember as Sydney Allard
said: "You twit!!!  There is no substitute for cubic inches!"
