TR6 Rear Suspension Bumpers

I'm reposting this as I believe I sent the first attempt to the wrong
address. I apologize in advance if this is a duplicate...

Does anyone have any suggestions for removing / replacing the four
rubber bumpers (stops) on the TR6 rear suspension? These buggers
screw into the suspension, and I don't want the threaded rods to
break off leaving me with a major task rather than the minor one that
started the whole thing. Thanks!
