ssion was the hard part, I managed it with some profanity.<o:p></o:p></p>

ith a few other repairs/updates. On the drive home, I noticed th=
e speedo wasn=E2=80=99t working. I mentioned it to the shop and t=
hey said it works =E2=80=9Cwhen it wants to=E2=80=9D but would be happy to
take a look (meaning extra $). My overall impression of the sho=
p=E2=80=99s work is just okay, so I was going to troubleshoot what I could b=
efore bringing the car back for more of their time.

<p class=3D"MsoNormal">It=E2=80=99s been about 20 years since I installed th=
at cable and could use a refresher. The installation at the gaug=
e end is pretty straightforward, but as I recall the speedo gear end is more=
tricky. I seem to remember that there here was
an access port on the transmission tunnel underneath the carpet and cubby b=
ox (?). Or is it easiest to raise the car and access from undern=
eath? Some combination? <o:p></o:p></p>
