Hi all,

I don't think Alpine 260's (and tigers) are real Alpines. As soon as you put
in that dang furrin Ford engine you bastardise a very fine English design.
Even if a car started off life with a proper Rootes engine and was later
chopped to take a V8, it still will never be a real Alpine.
