Not quite irrelevant, if you've owned a Jap sports car like a SPL or an SRL
you know that initially, all that the Japanese manufacturers did was copy a
lot of the British parts to make their cars. My SRL 311's (read 2000 Sports)
brakes were a direct knock-off of the Girling systems. And Triumph timing
chain tensioners bolt right into the U-20 OHC motor. Maybe the Z brakes are
the same.
