You can already use 240Z pads on your Tiger calipers. They are more
rectangular in shape with more surface area than the correct Girling/Tiger
pads. I don't consider this an advantage because it seems to me they should
be triangular in order to get more even wear but, heck, I never leave a set
on long enough for that to be a problem. The real point is you can get
pretty much whatever compound you want from, for example, Porterfield for
the stock calipers, so don't change just for this reason. Now swapping out
for something more contemporary like the Toyota dual-piston calipers sounds
worthwhile.
