That is the exact same rationale I used with the transmission wide ratio gear
change. Drove about 1,000 miles with good quality gear oil, then drained it, and
all the shavings and junk it may have accumulated, before putting in the $10/qt
Mobil1 Synthetic Gear Oil. Dramatic improvement. Even the shift forces went
down
immediately. Hopefully the rest of it's lubricity is doing the same throughout.
