Jeff and All:
During the Vintage Races in Coronado, I spoke with the Shelby Club here in
San Diego about this same subject. Although most were not aware of the
Tiger's lineage and the Snake's brief involvement, they would welcome Tiger
owner's as members.
They confessed that many of their current members did not have ANY car at
all, but were interested in the "marque." If the member did have a classic
car, the only real "request" as far as this local club is concerned is that
they are a "powered by Ford" type. Bottom-line is that they would
enthusiastically accept my dues and allow me to join the club. We agreed to
discuss the pedigree of my "original Shelby" at some later date. No, I have
not joined yet. Just have not has the time to send the check out in the
mail....along with CAT and STOA. Sorry 'bout that folks!

To All:
With all the web talk of late concerning Shelby, Rootes, et al, a thought
crossed my mind. Have the Shelby Club folks ever considered opening their
club to Tigers? I would think a Tiger contingent would bring new life to
their club and offer Southern Californian Tiger guys and gals another outlet
for their enthusiasm, if you get my drift.
I know I'd join.
