The only way you can do that is disconnect the hose at the "feed" end. It can
also work as a one-way valve, i.e. passes fluid but does NOT allow return.

Pure WASTE. Either do the ENTIRE job or nothing. And that includeds the
FRONT hoses!!
Also, NEW copper washers ARE required!!
Trying to "piece meal" a SAFTEY item/system is just a death wish!!
