More info.
Working on the car in the drive way with the bonnet up it seems
to never have this problem. Only stopping in traffic for like 5 minutes,
car at operating temperature at a full stop it will sometimes do it.
(slowly idle below 500 RPM and then die).
It's like it is not getting enough air sometimes and the idle
goes rich and the motor dies. Using a clean air filter.
RIght needle. Checked the float. It's ok.
Would not using a heat shield cause this? Morris Minors with single
carbs don't use a heat shields.
Fuel line is like 2 to 3 inches from header.
