.... if you choke it a bit and the
stumble disappears than it's
a mite lean...which brings us back to
square #1, as the leaness can be a
function of too lean a mixture setting,
induction air leak, or...a mite too much initial advance.
The mixture adjustment is easy. Anyone
on this list familiar with mixture adjustment on an HIF?? CW or CCW
to richen??
89PON (pump octane number) is actually
about 92RON. This is a little low for the
"H" 8.8-1 motor which was designed with
96-98RON in mind. 92PON (unleaded hi-
test) would equal about 95-96RON....
this would be more compatible with the
compression ratio, Jim. Even the early
948cc Bugeyes called for 94RON and they only ran 8.3-1.
