The '65 wedding Sprite ran today for the first time since 1977, at least
that's the last NY inspection. Took only a few cranks of the starter to get
oil pressure and only a cleaning of the old points and the car fired right up.
Some minor wiring glitches and a bit of a fast idle but all seems well. Oil
pressure of 60 lbs at start and 45-50 lbs when warmed up. I have yet to bleed
the hydraulics so the first ride will have to wait.
The tach is pegging above red line even thogh the idle is no where near that
high. Can the problem be with the direction of the wire loop on the electric
tach?
