And so it is with most things.
For a pilot, two of his most "dangerous"
times are linked to hours in the air....
500 and 5,000. After these we become
pretty safe (statistically speaking, that is!:).
In the first case we think we know more
than we actually do...sorta like being a
teenager I guess. Same with the 5,000hr
mark with a pro pilot. Then something usually happens at around 5,000
hrs to
bring reality home with a bang!!! Usually
a serious mechanical failure, fire, etc.
Or....we simply land one gear up! This'll
do it every time!!!
