The extra gauge allows to you compare input pressure (compressor) to 
output (engine). A difference of 10 lbs (or is it 10%, I forget) 
signifies a problem. Some air passage would be normal, so you would 
just be guessing. Of course. if you hear a LOT of air rushing... 
well...
